YOUR RECORDS STAY IN YOUR HANDS

FieldQuote privacy policy

Effective October 10, 2026

I built FieldQuote to help contractors prepare estimates and invoices on their phones. Your business records stay in the app on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

About this policy

This policy covers the FieldQuote Android app, package com.fieldquote.app, and this website. For a privacy question or request, email jon@deskync.com.

Information you enter

FieldQuote stores the business details, customer names, email addresses, job addresses, service prices, internal costs, scope notes, estimates, invoices, and payment statuses that you enter. These records are saved in the app's private storage on your device. I do not receive or upload those records.

The app has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or remote crash reporting. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.

PDFs, backups, and sharing

When you request a PDF or backup, FieldQuote creates a file on your device. A PDF includes the customer-facing document details and excludes your internal costs and profit calculations. A JSON backup includes your business details, customer information, saved jobs, and price book.

Android's share sheet lets you choose the app or recipient that receives an exported file. The app or recipient you choose then handles that file under its own privacy practices. FieldQuote does not send it automatically.

Exported PDFs and JSON backups are not encrypted by FieldQuote. Choose a safe place for them and share them only with the intended recipients.

Storage and deletion

Your records remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app's storage, uninstall the app, or replace the workspace by restoring a backup. You can delete individual drafts in the app. To remove the entire local workspace, use Android Settings to clear FieldQuote's app storage or uninstall FieldQuote.

FieldQuote disables Android's automatic cloud backup and automatic device transfer for its app records. Export a backup yourself before changing phones or uninstalling. Copies that you save outside the app, send to someone else, or place with a backup provider remain there until you delete them through that service. Files in the app's cache may also be removed by Android.

Your device's operating system controls access to private app storage. Use a device lock and keep your phone up to date.

Purchases and payment records

If you buy Pro or lifetime access in FieldQuote, Google Play handles checkout, billing, refunds, and subscriptions under Google's privacy policy. I do not receive your payment card information through FieldQuote. The app asks Google Play for available prices and current purchases, acknowledges completed purchases, and uses that information on your device to unlock paid access. Purchase tokens are used by the native billing code to acknowledge a purchase; they are not included in job backups or sent to a FieldQuote server. Google may make purchase and financial reports available to me through Play Console.

Invoice payment statuses inside FieldQuote are records that you enter yourself. The app does not process customer payments, connect to bank accounts, or verify that an invoice has been paid.

Support messages

If you email me, I receive your email address and the information you include. I use that correspondence to answer your request and keep it only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion of support correspondence at jon@deskync.com. Please do not send customer records unless they are needed for your request and you have permission to share them.

Cloudflare Pages hosts this website. Cloudflare receives normal web request information, including an IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the page. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. This website does not use advertising, analytics scripts, or account cookies.

Children and privacy requests

FieldQuote is a business tool intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. Contact me if you believe a child has sent personal information through a support message.

You can access and export your local records through FieldQuote and remove them through Android's app storage settings. I cannot retrieve records that remain only on your device. Send requests about information you have provided directly to me to jon@deskync.com.

Policy updates

I will update this page when FieldQuote's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current policy. Any future feature that sends business records to a server will need an updated policy and release disclosures before it is offered.
